What SchedEx does

Complete schedule transfers between planning systems

SchedEx transfers full schedule data between planning systems, ensuring consistency across tools, teams, and companies.

Full schedule transfer

Transfer complete schedules including activities, resources, and calendars, not just activity lists.

Guaranteed consistency

Activities remain identical between source and destination systems after every transfer.

Cross-company exchange

Exchange data across company boundaries, enabling real collaboration between project partners.

Flexible selections

Transfer entire schedules or filtered selections of activities.

Advanced workflows

Automatic & recurring

Keep schedules continuously in sync with scheduled transfers.

Round-trip transfers

Send data, let it be updated, and return it with changes applied.

Data translation

Differences in coding structures between systems are handled automatically.

Benefits

Better decisions. Less manual work.

In large projects with multiple actors, significant time is spent manually transferring schedule data. SchedEx removes this effort entirely.

Save time

Eliminate manual data transfer effort across your project teams. Time reclaimed is time reinvested in planning.

Improve data quality

Reduce human error by automating the transfer process. Data arrives correctly structured, every time.

Higher transfer frequency

When transfers require no manual effort, you can run them daily, keeping all systems continuously in sync.

Better decision-making

Decision-makers across your project always have access to reliable, up-to-date planning information.

How it works

Key concepts

The Exchange Agreement

The core of SchedEx is the Exchange Agreement, a shared setup between the planner sending data and the planner receiving it. The Exchange Agreement defines exactly how schedule data is exchanged.

The Exchange Agreement defines

  • When transfers start and end
  • How often transfers run (daily, weekly, monthly)
  • What activity data is included
  • Whether all activities or a filtered selection are transferred
  • Whether transfers run automatically or are started manually
  • Other transfer-specific settings

The Transfer Center

Once the Exchange Agreement is in place, the SchedEx Transfer Center is your everyday dashboard for staying on top of things. It gives you full visibility of all active Exchange Agreements.

The transfer center helps you

  • Monitor successful transfers
  • Identify failed transfers and how to fix them
  • See planned and upcoming transfers
  • Track overall transfer status across projects

Getting started

What it takes to use SchedEx

Once you are familiar with SchedEx, setting up and managing transfers is quick and straightforward.

Around 2 hours to set up

Set up a new transfer agreement in approximately two hours. SchedEx is designed for planners who know their systems.

A few minutes per week to monitor

Once running, transfers operate automatically. Spend only a few minutes per week in the Transfer Center to confirm everything is running as expected.

  • If a planning system/database has not been used with SchedEx before, a SchedEx Connector must be created by a system administrator. You can easily see which connectors are available, before contacting the system administrator.
  • If you are transferring data to another company that is not yet using SchedEx, they must sign up to SchedEx and complete the necessary implementation. You can easily see which companies are already using SchedEx.
